Lee Chong Wei… why is he a Hero (っ◕‿◕)っ ♥

After watching the emotional match between Lee Chong Wei & LinDan (China), I must say that I have never felt so proud for a Malaysian. Although he didn’t get a Gold medal, but his effort and determination showed the whole world what it means to be a Malaysian (tough & resilient). He deserves the best respect from all Malaysians!

He’s a national hero in terms of sports, he’s also a great example of unity.

As I walked past stores along my way home…. I could see many different people stood close to each other in front of any shops with television sets… all of them young & old, different races & all…  strangers to each other… sharing the same excitement & support for the same purpose: pride in Malaysia’s team. Unity at its best.

I can’t help but draw him to show my love & support…. he’s just fabulous!

Although Lee Chong Wei did not get a Gold medal, but I think he had won more than that. He had help us Malaysians to experience & gain unity, as well as the fact that we’re capable of unconditional support & love for our teams, regardless of the outcome. Malaysians, you are doing it right!

No matter what happens…  I’m proud of you, Lee Chong Wei (っ◕‿◕)っ ♥

TOTAL RECALL: Action movie of the year ◉◡◉

If you have heard of the movie Total Recall before this year or even watched the original Total Recall (1990), good for you… because to me, 1990’s Total Recall had been one of my lifetime favourites & I’ve watched it for at least 10 times throughout my childhood up till my teenage years! I was such a big Schwarzenegger fan *me gusta*

Surely you can imagine my excitement when I knew that they are going to remake my all-time favourite movie! Not to mention with one of my biggest male fantasy…. Colin Farrell! *Dayumms*

So with free tickets & greatest joy, I rushed to the nearest cinema!

I gotta say…. of all the sci-fi movies this year… this is the BEST action sci-fi movie I’ve watched this year!

Important points about the movie:

  1. Action pack from the first minute until the end of the show (I tried so hard not to go to the loo, in order not to miss any action!)
  2. The effects is superb! It might be one of the best movies to watch in 3D!
  3. The ideas for the technology & settings are crazy creative- imagine hologram masks & memory manipulations!
  4. Even if you know the story from the 1990 Total Recall, this movie will make you want to watch it again, as the 2012 has more actions & a lot more twists.
  5. As compared to the 1990 version, Total Recall 2012 is much more age friendly (less gore & disturbing visuals).

Anyways, if you’re interested, here’s a comparison of both versions (although both have their own good parts)

I so totally love this movie, and might consider watching it in again, this time in 3D!

Anyhow, if you are a fan of sci-fi, future & techy stuff, this is the best movie! Even if not, just a fan of action film itself is enough to make you love this film!

McCafe @ Titiwangsa, Malaysia…. brand new place to chill!

If you guys had heard about McCafe (McDonald’s new concept), well wonder no more. It’s here in Malaysia & you can visit it anytime!
Me & the guys (the usual PYT gang) went there to chill while checking out the new place for ourselves.

I gotta say, the place is quite nice & exquisite looking, as compared to any McDonald’s outlets. McCafe offers more of a ‘specialty’ coffee house theme, similar to places like Coffee Bean or Starbucks…just that it’s more down-to-earth & affordable~ I like!
Enough said… let photos do the talking….

Basically, it’s a nice place to chill…. even Donkey approves!

Have a nice chilling session @ McCafe!

How to be a Korean Beauty (✿◠‿◠)

I’m not a great fan of Korean entertainment, but I must say, I’m a great fan of their styles! From down-to-earth casual to street wear, Korean ladies do know how to jive up their styles with great sense of fashion.  Since a lot of us (or friends I know) would love to look ‘Korean’ or as attractive… here’s a few tips for looking as good as 2 main types of Korean chics (sweet & funky-hot)

Juniel (she’s one of my favourite Korean beauties, so natural & sweet!)

Step 1: Makeup

If you notice, most Korean girls in dramas usually have flawless skin & wear minimal makeup on their eyes. That’s the beauty of sweet-looking Korean girls, they look beautiful without tons of eyeshadow or fake lashes! To look like a sweet-to-the-core Korean cupcake beauty, what’s important is to get flawless or dewy looking skin.

Cover dark eye-circles & blemishes, then remember use BB-cream rather than powder (to give the dewy shiny skin effect).  Next, just apply little blush on you cheeks (to give you the natural glow from within). A thin strip of eye-liner, and mascara…. That’s it! You look naturally perfect now!

Step 2: Dress like a Sweet Korean

Korean girls normally dresses in floral or light dresses to give them the ‘sweet-touch’.
Here’s the types ‘Korean style’ dresses…

(sorry for blurry camera shots…)

Step 3: Accessorize, accessorize!

My favourite part is how these Korean girls accessorize themselves with boots or hats/caps. Just love the way they do it.

For the sweet look, it is always safe to invest in cute hats, hairbands… and definitely BOOTS!

Nothing beats members of 2ne1 when it comes to looking funky, yet hot!

Step 1: Makeup

Many people might think that their sense of style is difficult to be worn in public, but girls… if you how to tune down on the bizarreness, and still look casual enough to be funky… you got it! As for make-up wise, you can apply some (not a lot) smokey eyes with a dash of dark eyeliner.

You’ll be smoking hot in no time! Again, there’s no need for fake lashes (or else you’ll look Japanese rather than Korean!)

Step 2: Dress-up like a Funky-hottie!

Colours… bright eye-catching colours is the key to dressing up Korean street-wear style. Secondly, to look hot, maybe you should invest in a good pair of shorts or skirts. Here’s a sample I managed to savage from my closet…

Step 3: Accessorize, accessorize!

For the funky-hotlook, it is always safe to invest in caps, shorts/skirts… and again BOOTS! If you realize, I’m also actually quite a boot fanatic myself (got myself 5 pairs, so far).

Anyhow, I wish you liked my blog & got some ideas how to ‘look’ Korean. However, if there’s anything you disagree or would like to correct me… do so!  I’m happy to learn new stuff!

Most importantly, I have NEVER claim myself to be as beautiful as the girls I mention. I would be lucky to look half as gorgeous as real Koreans! Just a clarification, before my mail box is bombarded by hate-mails, just in case.

For now, peace…. lotsa love (っ◕‿◕)っ ♥

Be a Super-Hero: create your own heroic MASK!

With all the superhero movies coming up in cinemas lately… it’s no wonder that it ignited a secret part of us… a part of us, so secretly wanted to be super heroes since childhood.

Surely, people will call us crazy for having super-hero dreams… but I say “LET’s DO IT!”
I believe that there’s a hero in every person, waiting to be unleashed & shine.

Following such dreams, I decided to design & create series of super-hero mask for me & 3 of my besties. We all had dreams to be super-heroes, so I figure that I must include them too =)

It’s easy & quick to create your own unique hero mask! Here’s how I did it….. *deng deng deng*

STEP 1: Buy Ready-Made Masks

Such masks are available in toy or party stores. For me, I got 4 masks from Daiso ($5 per mask) for me & my best friends.
For me, I’ll just removed the numbers on the forehead (Numbers are so not suitable for my super-hero style)!

STEP 2: Sketch & Design Masks!

This is the best part of all, the part which I enjoyed to the max!

Since 3 of my besties are males, while I’m the only female… I designed tougher & macho designs for 3 of them. For myself, I prefer the cute-yet-edgy design that’s feminine.  Here’s the sketch of my designs! Personally, my style is more of the simple yet colourful type (you can see that by yourself, I guess).

STEP 3: Stitch, stitch, stitch away…

After finalizing the designs on my mind… I cut fabrics & started stitching right away! Here’s a pic of my work almost done~

STEP 4: Show-off Your New Masks!

If you noticed, some of the designs vary from what was sketched in my drawing, because it turns out that I ran out of fabrics! Gotta do some last minute rearrangements with lack of fabrics! Here’s the finished hero masks… (about the cute dolls atop the masks, I made them for my friends too , each for all of us)!

You should have guessed it… the red’s mine! Wuhoo…. what do you guys think about my designs?

STEP 5 – Go Save the World…. No time to waste, our people need us *Swisssh*

My besties sure find them cool!  They find it sooooo COOL, that it’s going to be featured in a film we’re producing

*In case you didn’t know, we’re also members of PYT productions team*

Generally, the process of making the masks is quite arduous & not to mention sore eyes…. but it was worth it.

Super-hero dreams shall prevail even if I got a needle stuck in my eye! Yeaaaaaa!!

If you’re wondering , we’re all NORMAL adults. But hey, being a normal grown-up doesn’t mean we should give up our dreams to be a hero!

Remember, there’s a hero in every of us…. it’s just up to us to unleash it. Yeeaaaaaa!!

Ms. Two-Face…

Just got back from my Kendo classes & I felt too lazy to get myself to shower (I know, I’m smelly!).

I got bored & decided to do a little experiment… I wonder how drastic will I look if I put as much makeup as on my left eye while leaving my right eye completely makeup-less (if such word exist).

         Me without makeup…

And what happens FIVE minutes later….

I’m just gonna makeup one of my eyes, as it’s already 3am & I don’t see any reason to have a complete makeup right before I go to bed!  Anyhow, my silly curiosity is fulfilled & it’s time for me to hit my lovely bedsheets~*

So…. is there differences?

A Madhatter’s Ball @ STYLO FASHION -Mercedes Benz 2012

I had the privileged to attend one of the many STYLO nights lined up this year. I must thank one of Malaysia’s best designer, BILL KEITH (friend of my mother’s). Being a nice friend, he personally reserve 3 passes to my mother tickets for the fashion show.  I LOVE MY MOMMY! She’s the coolest!

My mother & I… Do we look alike? Lol

So tagging along side my mother(and being a particularly good & agreeable daughter for that night) I got to feast my eyes on gorgeous people and great fashion, in one of the hottest nights in KL. What a night…. and I have photos to prove how enjoyable it had been! Wuhoo~

Since it’s Madhatter’s Ball…. I wore a hat! And I loved the Asahi beer served that night ^.^

And guess what…. I get to sit front row facing the catwalk platform! Perfect place to meet important others~

Such as in this case…. eccentric blogger, Mr. KEE HUA CHEE himself!
He is so so so so friendly & bubbly in real person, not to mention fashionable too!

Sitting at the front of the show, is also the perfect place to snap photos of the runway. Since BILL KEITH is my mother’s friend, I will only upload my favourite pieces of his work at the show 😛

White Swan, a very nice way to kick start his swan-themed design for the night~

Personally, this blue & green dress is my favourite! I love it I love it…. Wooooooooo~

PS: And I love her legs too *jealous*

And the winner….. is no other than BILL!

Wuhoo, good for him!

When it was time to congratulate him…. I went up to him, and he thought I’m one of the reporters *sobs*

I had to say, “I’m Mrs.Lee’s daughter!”  That was only I get to take photo with him, and alongside my mother of course *blushes*
Hahahaha….. no matter, I had a great night & it was a truly fashionable event ^.^

I’m a Horrible Classmate

My class had a presentation & one of my classmates was presenting when I got so darn bored. Time seemed to have stopped entirely, into an endless time-warp of excruciating boredom.

I tried to look interested by flipping my papers, when I saw my classmate’s notes & I  found her wrote TANK YOU (instead of thank you) at the end of the presentation slides. I can’t ignore it… I’m an English Nazi!!

Feeling so bored…. I doodled the note….

I was so engrossed in my doodling, I giggled to myself. Then, I didn’t realized that some of my classmates were looking at my drawing. Worse, my lecturer was there looking at me doodling the whole time! They were looking disapprovingly at me, like I did some kind of a CRIME.

Great. Now everyone will think I’m a horrible classmate who makes fun about others’ mistakes.

I don’t know what to do but smile at everyone *bad poker face* and pretended nothing happened…

But then again…. WHATEVER…

Dirty English… Rawwrrr

I can’t help it but laughed out loud when I see outrageous & silly mistakes in English.ESPECIALLY in movies or books that are publicized widely

First time was when I watched an army film a few years back. If I’m not wrong, it was a scene when the soldiers said, “DUCK! INCOMING FIRE!” The subtitles literally, straight forwardly translated in bahasa, “ITIK! API ITIK DATANG!”
Seriously, fire duck? This is what I imagined…. Le wild fiery Nazi duck attacks *rawrrr*

Another funny thing that I came up across today was the English book my nephew came across. He was laughing when he told me what he read, “THE OSTRICH HAS A BIG FURRY BIRD.” I think what the book wanted to say was ‘is’ instead of ‘has’.

That was crazy. Yes, it’s a big bird, but we don’t want to know it if HAS a furry ‘bird’ or not. Uncool *there goes my childhood*

The silliest was when I came across a SPM book. The title of a story which was suppose to be THE FRUITCAKE SPECIAL… It became THE FEETCAKE SPECIAL.

Yummy…. does the cake come with extra hair & icing?

I mean, if you were to publish english materials to the public, at least revise your stuff!

Lone Shopper =P

It had been a really rough month… I cudn’t eat or sleep well, stressed….
So, I decided to do something to cheer myself up- shopping! Though shopping alone, it aint that bad =)
First stop: Boutique

The first thing that caught my eye was a pair of oh-so-gorgeous jeans & top!
BUT, only one size… EXTRA SMALL! So sad, I never thought I cud fit into it, but it seems that my stress & poor appetite have some positive sides… i fitted in the jeans! *yeah yeah*

Plus, it was on sales!

Next stop: Bookstore
Ok, i gotta admit, I love books. I can spend hours reading & reading.
I went to a thrifty 2nd hand book store, and guess what I found? Classics! At very very low prices, about RM5-10 per book.

This is my favourite book, a classic ^.^

(Already finished reading one of them)

Quote of the day: Jeans are a bum’s bestfriend (it makes our bums look so good, yummy)

Sister’s Wedding at Grand Season’s Hotel

Finally, the time is here to celebrate true love! Of cuz, pictures speak a thousand words! (Finally got all the pics after waiting for MONTHS)
By the way, my sister HAND MADE & DESIGNED all the dresses HERSELF! Braaaavo….

Here comes the grand DINNER at Grand Seasons!

Baby Bunnie!

Recently, just about a week ago, my rabbit gave birth to two precious baby bunnies!

However, one of it died….. while the other lives!
It was devastatingly sad, however, I was glad that the other survived.
Since it was the first time I had a baby offspring in my house, it was a very fresh first experience for me! And boy, I would never know how quick a baby bunny grows!

Here’s a walk through of my bunny’s childhood development milestones (can’t help it with the psychological jargons, hooked with it through my course :P)

2 days old!

4 days old….

7 freaking days old!
Just imagine how would it be in like… a months’ time… will be a pony-sized bunny? *puking rainbow*
Lol, just joking. However, It was a pleasant surprise that the baby bunny was growing up healthy, and so quickly!
Such a pleasant bundle of joy ^.^

Magazine Shooting

Dear friends,

Just want to share my shooting lately with CLEO (actually last year, ehemm). But I’ve been so busy, I haven’t got the time to blog about it.
All the school work and assignments are literally killing me!
The day before the shoot, I had to rush for an assignment until it was 4am!
The next day, I had to rush to my university all the way from home, just to hand it in by noon. What happened next, is that I have to rush to the shooting studio all the way in Kelana Jaya before 5pm!

When I finally reached the place, it’s time for make-up and some nail polish time. It’s a BIGGIE, as i always bite my nails, so they look horrendous. It’s lucky that the girl managed to make my nails look fine *pheww*. Not to mention her wonderful work in concealing my late night eye-bags!

It was a hectic day, but I had a ball…. here’s some pics ^.^

PS: bear the difference… i can’t even recognize myself!
